Hearts For Youth

About Us

Our Mission

Our Mission is to give teenagers and young adults a future and a hope, through mentoring and by providing financial assistance for special needs and for education so they can become productive adults and not rely on the system.

Our goal is to help them help themselves!

We had the privilege of showing help and support to  a 21 year old named Colton and move him with His beautiful dog from the streets and into his own apartment.  He got a job driving a food delivery truck five nights a week that delivers meals to  others who are still homeless.  On his days off, this amazing young man continued to serve the homeless by volunteering to feed and clothe them through donations. He is giving back. So inspiring!!

Hearts for Youth is helping students like; Juan, Elizabeth, Trisha and Dianna realize their dreams to go to junior college and transfer to a state university to prepare for their future by providing financial assistance to help with tuition, books, class materials, computers, printers, and other needs to attain their goals.

Juan’s ambitious goal to graduate in 18 months which prompted him to take 19 units his first semester.

Students like Juan do not have home internet so laptops are provided for portability and direct access to comply with all campus online requirements, and school registration needs.

Dianna had given up hope and resigned herself to have to go to work for minimum wage and accept the fact she could not pursue her dreams because of the tuition and book costs.

Trisha is a single mom living with her mother and had no access to a computer or the internet, she would have to  leave her daughter at home and go to the school library where all of her work could not be saved on the public computers. She started getting behind and could not turn in her work on time when it was due, it was negatively affecting her grades.

Hearts for Youth’s purpose is to provide financial assistance to cover books, laptops, or whatever it takes in order to help deserving, driven people get an education so that they can pursue their dreams of a better future.

Hearts for Youth has donated iPads for special programs for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

Most Youth today have very little guidance and direction we are working on a program for high school students in order to fill that gab.

Hearts for Youth is also working with another organization which is providing toiletries and clothing for the homeless in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.

All it takes is someone who cares!! And a little Time to give to others.

Without the assistance of Hearts for Youth, many that we assisted would have little or no other options but to live on the streets, be homeless, or work at minimum wage jobs that provide little to no future growth.

We recently helped a single Dad who gained custody of His 3 children, 1, 3 and 4, as they did not have beds to sleep on. We are supporting his new journey as a father and provider by purchasing beds for his new family.

You can help with donations or with items such as school supplies or laptops, printers, book assistance etc. No amount is too large or too small. We don’t know all the needs that will come up where we can help stand beside others who are willing to work and change their lives.

If you know of others that need help please contact us.

If you want to help either financially or as a volunteer in our mentoring program, contact:

Thank you for your support!

Elizabeth had registered for college but found the book costs to be exorbitant and beyond their household income, she did not have a printer or a laptop which are major needs for all students – that most of us take for granted.
